Beer Here Now! Tennent’s to Quench Noel’s Thirst with his very own ‘Oasis’

Lager for life promised after Gallagher dubs Scotland’s favourite “best in the world”

Following his visit to the sleepy village in Banffshire along with supermodel Kate Moss and other rock and roll friends, Noel Gallagher has received a ‘T-reat’ that’s set to leave brother Liam Pretty Green with envy.

During a pal’s birthday party, the High Flying Birds star appeared outside The Craigellachie Hotel whilst holding a half-drunk pint aloft and declared: “I just stuck to the Tennent’s Lager. It’s the best beer in the world - I’d like a lifetime’s supply”.

Noel liked it so much, he even organised his own carry-out, taking home a pint when his chauffeured car picked him up at the end of the night.

In response, Scotland’s favourite lager has now offered to set up a bar within the singer’s home, opening a dedicated ‘Live Forever’ hotline for the singer so that deliveries can be made whenever he runs out.

Jane Cannon, Marketing Manager for Tennent’s Lager said: “Some Might Say it’s the ultimate rock and roll gift for Noel – his very own bar, which will always be fully stocked. We’ve nicknamed it the ‘Lager Supernova’ and I’m sure it will help to host more than a few epic parties once it’s installed.”

Noel Gallagher compares new album to 'T Rex, The Rolling Stones and QOTSA '

Noel Gallagher has said a song on his new album is a mix of "T Rex, The Rolling Stones and Queens Of The Stone Age" while stating the another is one of his favourite things he has ever written.

Gallagher's High Flying Birds release new album 'Chasing Yesterday' on March 2. It features the single 'In The Heat Of The Moment' as well as Johnny Marr collaboration 'Ballad Of The Mighty I'.

Speaking to NME in the cover feature of this week's issue, which is on newsstands now and available digitally Gallagher describes the saxophone player used on album opener 'The Riverman' as being "summoned from a smoky room in 1963," adding that the song is, "fucking amazing. It's my favourite track on the album, and one of my favourites I've ever done."

Meanwhile, 'The Right Stuff', also taken from the record has numerous influences. Put to him by NME that the song's riff is reminiscent of Queens of the Stone Age, Gallagher replies: "I thought The Rolling Stones, and Johnny Marr when he heard it said, 'That's fucking T Rex'. But if it's a cross between T Rex, The Rolling Stones and Queens Of The Stone Age, fucking hell, I'll take that any day."
