Noel Gallagher Starring at Singapore Grand Prix

As if Jay Chou, Katy Perry and Maroon 5 are not enough, organisers have now added talented singer-songwriter Noel Gallagher to the roll of A-listers who will strut their considerable star power at the SingTel Singapore Grand Prix in September.

Best known from his time with English rock band Oasis, Gallagher, who went solo in 2009, will perform songs from his latest self-titled album "Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds". The album has sold more than one million copies worldwide since it was launched last year and is widely regarded as one of his best works in the last 15 years.

Of course, Gallagher will also turn back the clock and serenade fans with some of his best-loved hits including "The Importance Of Being Idle" and "Don't Look Back In Anger".

Gallagher will perform at the Padang stage (Zone 4) on 22 September and at the Village Stage at Gate 1 (Zone 1) before the Formula One race on 23 September 2012.

Besides Chou, Perry, Maroon 5 and Gallagher, other artistes performing at the Marina Bay Street Circuit includes Bananarama, Pretenders and The Proclaimers.

Meanwhile, organisers are reporting brisk ticket sales for the fifth Singapore GP, the world's first and only night F1 race.

To date, more than half the available tickets have been snapped up, with the three-day Zone 4 walkabout tickets, turn 1 Grandstand and combination tickets sold out.

Michael Roche, executive director of race promoter Singapore GP, attributed the brisk sales to an unpredictable F1 season so far. "With six different winners from the six races to date, it is anybody's game which will surely make for an exciting spectacle on our circuit come September."

For more information on tickets and on the race, visit www.singaporegp.sg

Noel Gallagher: Seoul is like the Scotland of Asia

From Noel Gallagher's 'Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere' tour diary.

    Yes comrades.

Spent the last few days in Korea. In the great city of Seoul. Love this place. It’s like the Scotland of Asia. The shows (which there were 2 of) were fucking bloody awesome.

Thanks for all the birthday presents. A special thanks to the kids what made the birthday cakes that ended up in the dressing room. Works of art they were!!

Someone actually passed a birthday cake onto the stage during the last song!!

I'm feeling a bit worse for wear this morning.

I'm about to start some kind of epic journey home.

I have nothing more to say.

    ONWARDS.

    GD.

Noel Gallagher: How is your wife!!? Who is your cat!?

From Noel Gallagher's 'Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere' tour diary.

Yes comrades. So where were we? What day is it today? Sunday? It is here anyway.

So . . . back to Friday was it? Or Saturday? Fucked if I know anymore . . . I've had about 16 hours kip in a week!! So spaced out now it's getting psychedelic (I used to pay £20 to feel like this back in the 80's!!). Right well . . . I remember waking up in Tokyo whenever it was. Beautiful day. Caught the bullet train to Osaka was it? Got man handled at the station by an increasingly hysterical crowd of well wishers. They don't half like to scream questions at you over here. It can be quite an experience. Like a medium level bad trip. I mean what are you supposed to say when crazy birds are SCREAMING into your face . . .

"I LIKE YOUR SHOES . . . WHERE DID YOU GET YOUR SHOES!?!?!?!?!?"

Eventually got prized into the train, shades all wonky . . . dying for a piss.

Lovely journey though. Through what looks like beautifully manicured countryside. None of your unkempt foliage here mate! It looks like that kids toy gear, that Playmobil stuff? Like little Lego toy towns! I'm not even joking, it was like being on a giant train set in fact. I'm sure the Mighty I has got half the towns we passed through!!! A couple of hours staring out the window is my idea of a top day out. Arrived in Osaka. Chaos ensued. Running, shouting. More fucking screaming questions . . .

"WHY DID YOU NOT ANSWER MY LETTER!?”

“HOW IS YOUR WIFE!!? WHO IS YOUR CAT!?"

Or was it the other way round (who is your wife and how is your cat??).

All very strange. A good laugh all the same though. The gig was great. The best one of the tour I reckon. Now, you know the girl what made the sign that says "NOEL OR DIE!!"? Well, she must have read the last post and bless her she'd only gone and sewn on two White arrows on the sign pointing to the "OR"!! She also had made for me a couple of t-shirts to celebrate Man City winning the league. She'd substituted the eagle on the City badge for a Simpsons caricature of my face . . . thanks very much etc . . . but on closer inspection in big bold championship style lettering it said . . . (and this is so fucking true it hurts):

“MANCHESTER CITY PREMIER REAGUE CHAMPIONS 2012"!!!!!!!

    Japan you are the bollocks.

    See you next time.

    ONWARDS.

Like Top Of The Pops but with Military Precision

From Noel Gallagher's 'Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere' tour diary.

Well that tv show was - as predicted - fucking insane. It’s quite difficult to know what these Japanese shows are actually supposed to be about, but I'm guessing it was like some kind of version of our very own Top Of The Pops (R.I.P.).

It was all executed with military precision. For example they give you instructions like:

You will exit the dressing room at 8:34

You will enter corridor A at 8:37

You will shake this persons hand at 8:39

You will perform said song at 8:41 etc . . .

And the most amazing thing is it all runs like clockwork!

I was on with a load of Japanese acts one of which was a manufactured girl group called AKB48. I kid you not. There was maybe 30 of them all between the ages of 13-15!!! I suddenly started to feel very old.

The presenter was some old dude who looked at best like a James Bond villain.

It was loud fast and chaotic. Lord only knows why I was on there.

A good laugh all the same though.

    Off to Osaka today.

That's all I've got for you I'm afraid. Jet-lagged out of my mind.

ONWARDS (and a little bit sideways!)

      Noel Die!!!

From Noel Gallagher's 'Tales from the Middle of Nowhere' tour diary:

Yes comrades. It's been a couple of days. This jet-lag is a fucker. Hardly slept a wink. So . . .

Did a show a couple of days ago at the Budokan. Quite a prestigious gig. Bob Dylan played here back in the day as did a little known band from Liverpool called The Beatles. It's quite a big deal. Up there with Madison Square Gardens, Wembley Stadium, the Hollywood Bowl and erm... the Boardwalk!!

Did it in the round and all, which I have to say I really like. That's the second time we've done that kind of thing on this tour and I love it. Not sure if the people behind the stage would agree but... y'know... fuck 'em!!!

The gig was great. Very hot. My old mate Alan McGee turned up to see us which was nice as I haven't seen him in a long time. Great crowd. The heat didn't help the jet-lag though. I felt rooted to the spot. It really is a killer that gear.

So, yesterday after being chased through the train station we jumped on the bullet train to Nagoya. Had a gig in a mega little theatre. Stunning. Reminded me of one of my living rooms!!

Remember that girl what coined the phrase "Noel or die"? Well, anyway she was there with what seemed like a brand new posh as piss sign. Thing is the "Noel" and "die" bits were in bright luminous yellow and the "or" bit was in fucking navy blue all sewn (by hand one would imagine) onto a black background so all I could see was a sign that said "NOEL DIE!!" It was only when the lights went up at the end of the show that I realised what the fuck was going on!!

    Great gig though.

Back in Tokyo now. Got some TV show to do today. No doubt it'll be utterly bizarre. They usually are. Singing live vocal to a backing track. I fucking HATE that gear. Mustn't grumble though.

    Right... I'm off.

    ONWARDS.

    GD.

Oasis Songs to feature in new Top Of The Pops Musical

Music from the likes of Oasis, David Bowie and Blur are set to feature in a new theatre production of the iconic BBC music show Top Of The Pops.

Plans have been announced for the musical to begin a tour of the UK from October this year – premiering at the Congress Theatre in Eastbourne between October 18th-20th – with a cast of singers and dancers backed by a live band and material from the TOTP archive.

Tracks by T. Rex, Madonna and Blondie are also reported to be included in the show, which has been produced by the team behind the Michael Jackson musical Thriller Live.

The musical will also have an interactive element to it, as audience members are invited to pick a song from a list of five to feature in the show’s finale. The songs will screen during the performance using classic footage of previous Top Of The Pops charts.

      Noel: ...I went F#cking Mental

From Noel Gallagher's 'Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere' tour diary.

You might have guessed we've had a few days off. Back in London. Very nice it was too.

So . . . where were we? Santiago? Don't remember much about the gig. I'm sure it was stunning.

To be honest I was on cloud 9 after the football. I don't remember much at all. You'll know by now that we (Manchester City) pulled it off. In the most dramatic scenes ever witnessed. What a rollercoaster. We had it, we lost it, we got it back, we lost it again and right at the death we won it.

I went fucking mental and I don't mind telling you I might have lost it for a little bit.

I must have watched it a hundred times since and it's still blowing me away every time.

Anyway . . . oh yeah!! When we got to the gig that night just before we was about to go onstage my tour manager stuck her head round the door and says "the British ambassador is outside and wants to see you!!"

    "What for?"

"He wants to congratulate you on Man City winning the league!!"

Fuck me eh?? Manchester City . . . the pride of Great Britain? Who'd have thought . . . .

You find me back in Japan. Got a little tour and a couple of tv things to do. Then a little jib over to Korea (the south . . . obviously . . . as much as I've tried that northern mob have remained immune to my charms . . . cloth eared communist fuckers!) where for the first time ever I will spend my birthday onstage!!!!!! Mad that innit?

    ONWARDS.

      Noel and Liam Talking Again?

Almost three years since the end of Oasis, feuding brothers Noel and Liam Gallagher are in “friendly text contact” thanks to Manchester City winning the Premier League.

“They were both over the moon when City won and messages were exchanged,” says a mutual pal. “It took something like that to break the ice and they’ve also been in touch since by text.”

Since the group’s break-up Noel, 44, and Liam, 39, have exchanged insults in the press with Liam even threatening to take legal action against his older sibling. However there has been talk of the pair reforming Oasis to celebrate the 20th anniversary of their second album (What’s The Story) Morning Glory in 2015.

While Liam was at City’s Etihad Stadium to witness his team win, Noel, who was on tour, watched the game in a bar in Chile.

“Things are never going to be lovey dovey between them but the fact they’re communicating is a start,” we’re told.

The musician said that wife Sara wants him to have time at home to be with their children after what will have been a year on the road.

Noel also revealed that he has softened his war with brother Liam.
The pair now communicate through their peacemaker mum Peggy and Noel is back on speaking terms with ex-Oasis bandmate Gem Archer.

Noel, 44, said: “It’s a happy camp at the moment because the record has been really well received. It is selling like hot cakes in England.“We can’t get rid of them fast enough. I did not expect it.

“I’m going to tour the a*** out of it until the wheels fall off. Then I’m going to indulge my wife for a year or two.”
The band will be at this summer’s festivals across Europe before Noel’s break.

Noel Gallagher got a little bit wasted in Peru

From Noel Gallagher's 'Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere' tour diary.

Yes comrades . . . so Lima? (that's in Peru by the way)

It's also the place where I wrote that song of mine called "If I Had A Gun".

Nice place. Foggy. Stinks of dead fish!! Got a little bit wasted the first night on that drink "pisco sour"? The locals say you should only ever have 2 and under no circumstances should one attempt a 3rd. I must admit that did sound like a bit of a challenge at the time and one I would live to regret!! Think I got into double figures. Great night . . . horrific morning. Terrible hangover.

Someone suggested a walk about the following afternoon and as I'd never actually left the hotel last time I was here I thought "fuck it . . . why not?"

It quickly descended into farce with an ever growing mob of kids (fans and that . . . ) following us everywhere. Felt a bit like Jesus (looked a bit like Jesus if the truth be told!!). It was decided we should fuck it off and jib back to the hotel. Someone then mentioned that there was an ancient pyramid nearby so a couple of us set off to find it. I do like a pyramid me . . . mysterious pointy things . . . I love 'em!! Trouble is when we got there it was closed (not like a shop . . . it's a tourist attraction innit!!) but they let us in anyway, only they have us a guide who started to give us a brick by brick account of it's history. I felt the life being sucked out of me as the centuries whizzed by until . . . I just . . . walked off (you know when you just need a lie down?) he's no doubt probably still yakking on about wedges and building techniques!!

Anyway . . . the gig!! The gig was great . . . it was in a football stadium . . . well at least part of a football stadium. I wouldn't say it was the best place I've ever played, but top night all the same. Great crowd . . . loud . . . and lot's of 'em! The night ended with a police escort back to the hotel. Now . . . I've been in a few police escorts in my time but I can safely say I've NEVER been overtaken in one . . . by a bus . . . TWICE!!!!! High speed it was not. Job done though.

Adios Peru. You were slightly unhinged but mega . . . in a scary kind of way.

I am currently in Santiago (that's in Chile by the way). Getting an early night. Got to be up early tomorrow to watch Manchester City. We need one more win and we'll be crowned champions!!!

    Gonna be a tense morning . . . .

    If god wills it etc . . . .

    ONWARDS.

    GD.

Noel Gallagher To Headline Jersey Live Festival

Noel Gallagher’s High Flying Birds and Chase and Status have been confirmed as headliners for this year’s Jersey Live Festival.

To be held over the weekend of September 1st-2nd at the Royal Jersey Showgrounds on the Channel Island, the event will be headlined on the first night by Chase & Status, with Noel Gallagher closing proceedings on September 2nd. Amongst the other acts also confirmed to play this year are Primal Scream, Professor Green, The Stranglers and Maverick Sabre, with more acts due to be announced over the coming weeks.

“What a pair of headliners,” co-organiser Warren Le Sueur has said. “Noel is a certified godlike genius, and he’ll be playing a whole load of new music and classic Oasis songs; it’s going to be very, very special! Chase & Status were just amazing here back in 2010 and they’ve gone on to become even bigger and better.”

      Paraguay. You are Madness Personified.

From Noel Gallagher's 'Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere' tour diary.

    Yes comrades.

So . . . Paraguay? Holy shit-balls what a crazy country!! We'll get to the gig in a bit but first let me take you on a little journey from the hotel to the soundcheck. 40 minutes it took and honest to God you've never seen anything like it . . . well I haven't anyway.

So . . . we set off in a convoy of sorts. 3 vans, security guards armed to the teeth in unmarked cars, police in off road vehicles sirens wailing and some on motorbikes which looked like they may have been brand spanking new at some point in the 80's . . . closely followed by crazy fans in a separate convoy of private cars and taxis; It quickly turned into some kind of stunt driving chase scene from a James Bond movie. The faster we went the faster these kids went. Each time we hit traffic (quite literally I might add!) and slowed down to a crawl these kids jumped out of their cars and surrounded mine banging on the roof and waving random memorabilia like they were some kind of religious artifacts. At one point we were hurtling up some kind of dual carriageway and a fucking cow just appeared in the middle of the road . . . A FUCKING REAL COW . . . just casually out for a stroll!!! We skidded right up to it's gloriously gormless bonce as it give us that look that cows do and mooed at us as if to say . . . "watch your speed gringo!"

On we went at various points I seen:

A fully functioning gym just "there" at the side of the road.

Brand new-shrink wrapped-office furniture just stacked up in the middle of a flooded street.

A LOT of broken down motorbikes.

A herd of chickens . . . in the middle of the road (probably looking for the cow).

A seemingly endless army of young men at traffic lights holding out bunches of bananas (for sale presumably).

Big houses, little houses, bombed out houses and half built houses no-one could be arsed finishing.

    A city of tents.

Something what looked like a car repair work-shop/pet shop!!

And to cap it all somebody transporting a horse on the back of a truck . . . not a wagon . . . a little truck . . . not in a horse box, oh no, just standing on the back of a little truck with some lad holding onto it's mane!!! All this while travelling over pot-holes the size of swimming pools!! (It's probably fair to say you won't be seeing Morrissey anytime soon!!).

The time was 2:30 in the afternoon. God help us all when it goes dark I thought to myself.

The gig itself was HUGE. Another 10,000!! It was held at a jockey club race track thing. As night fell and the dust was being kicked up and the floodlights were on it looked like something out of Apocalypse Now, or apocalypse yesterday . . . whatever . . . it was cool as fuck!!

Now, as we know these South Americans love a banner and of course there were the usual marriage proposals and paternity claims etc,etc . . . but this next one has to go down as the weirdest one yet . . . here goes:

IF I HAD A GUN I'D SHOOT A HOLE INTO THE FRUITS BACKSTAGE!!!

What the holy fuck is that supposed to mean? Surely they didn't mean my band??

Had a nice little (I say little but it was perfectly adequate) bra slung onstage too!! Always a treat. One side of it was a sequined Paraguayan flag . . . the other a sequinned Union Jack!! And in that wonderful moment our two great nations had never been closer.

That – comrades - is the power of music (and probably a little bit of alcohol) right there.

    Makes you proud eh?

    Paraguay. You are madness personified.

    I loved you very much.

    We'll meet again.

    ONWARDS.

    GD.

Liam Gallagher's Clothing Store to Sell Classic Vinyl Albums

    photo: live4ever

Liam Gallagher‘s Pretty Green clothing shops will begin selling vinyl records later this month, marking another boost for the traditional market.

With last month’s Record Store Day enjoying its best ever year sales-wise, and the recent launch of a new Independent Record Store chart also helping to keep the format in the headlines, the fortunes of a previously endangered medium appear to be on a permanent upward curve.

And now the former Oasis frontman has lent his support to vinyl, with ten of his Pretty Green shops due to begin selling a range of classic albums for a limited period from the end of this month.

“We are seeing continued passion as well as new enthusiasm for vinyl through our online store Uvinyl and the great support the format gets from those indie music shops which are still flourishing,” Brian Rose, the managing director of Universal Music UK’s commercial division, which is behind the venture, has said.

“But by harnessing the latest technology we hope this partnership with Pretty Green will lead to much wider opportunities for selling music on the high street.”

Liam Gallagher: I'm Moving Back to Manchester if City Win the League

Manchester City super-fan Liam Gallagher has said in a radio interview that he will return home if the Blues win the Premier League title next Sunday.

The former Oasis frontman told Talksport radio before the Newcastle game yesterday that he would return to Manchester if City won their first title since 1968. Liam said: "I'm moving back to Manchester if City win the league. I'm going to buy a house next to Mani out of Stone Roses and be a real noisy ******* neighbour - hurl abuse at him over the fence."

Asked how Manchester City winning the league compared to headlining Knebworth in the glory days of Oasis the singer from Burnage said; "It's better than any of that nonsense."

Gallagher took to Twitter after City's 2-nil win over Newcastle asking:"Anybody know of any castles for sale in the MCR area...LG". Manchester City lead the league on goal difference with only Queens Park Rangers standing between the Blues and their first title in 44 years.

Screaming Birds And Their Bastard Cameras

From Noel Gallagher's 'Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere' tour diary.

    Yes comrades . . . so . . . Cordoba?

Had a funny sketch at the airport yesterday when a family came up to me while I was queuing to get on the plane. They approached me (Mum, Dad and two young boys) and asked the usual "is it alright if they (and pointed to the boys) take a picture?"

"Go on then" says I, and the parents turned around and gave the camera to the eldest lad and got HIM to take a picture of THEM with me!!!! I did laugh.

Cordon was double hot. Not that I got to benefit from any of the sun's rays as I was trapped in my fucking room all bastard day. There was crazy screaming kids everywhere. All over the hotel!!

Couldn't even go for a quiet bitter and a liddle drinky . . . screaming birds all over the place with their bastard cameras . . . "one picture, one picture!!!!" Can someone tell me what the fucking obsession is with taking pictures??? The gig was a good 'un. Played well . . . sang well. It was good.

The crowd had blue and white balloons just like the Brazilian kids yellow and green ones . . . very fucking cool if you ask me. They was all singing city songs as well!! Muchas gracias and all that.

Legged it early as I had to be up to get back to the airport in time to catch the Man City versus Newcastle match in the VIP lounge . . . it's a long story. I got a little shout out during the Spanish commentary!! One of my senior Argentinian aids heard they said that I was watching the game in the VIP lounge at Cordoba airport!! Which of course I was . . . but how did they know?? The lounge was empty!! Anyway . . . we won. A magnificent performance. Made all the more sweet as their manager is a tool what needs his hair ruffling and a kick in the shins.

So . . . landed here in Buenos Aires. There was a little madness at the airport. Only a little though, no drama. Gig here tonight AND a day off tomorrow . . . holy shit-balls it could get a bit Lionel Messi!!

    ONWARDS.

Noel Gallagher: Brazil . . . you NEVER, EVER disappoint.

From Noel Gallagher's 'Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere' tour diary.

    Yes comrades.

So . . . Rio? Fuck me! What an unbelievable night. A truly special gig. Not because of anything I did I hasten to add - I played AND sang like shit!! But them kids man!?!? it was just a privilege to have been there never mind on the stage AND I got in for free(I know the bass player innit?)!!!!!!

The green and gold balloons were out in force, More weird and wonderful banners (there was even a "Noel or die" one . . . which was nice!. Those kids were singing the guitar solos and lost Oasis classics in-between the songs . . . they were even doing "the Poznan" at one point!! Now I'd like to think I've done a fair few momentous gigs down the years but that one goes straight into the top 10 . . . no question.

Stopped quite by chance at a random bar on the way back to the hotel and fuck me if we didn't have one of the funniest, bestest nights out in a long time. Not sure what the bar was called but it was on the Copacabana. A waiter in shades kept putting down these bowls of nuts and shouting "these Viagra!!" They were in fact just nuts.

A comrade of mine who shall remain nameless but you can refer to as "truffles" was convinced that everyone in there was either a prostitute or a pickpocket or in some cases both!! Top, top night though. Didn't even feel too bad the next day either, which made it even better.

Brazil . . . you NEVER, EVER disappoint.

    Obrigado.

    ONWARDS.

      Noel...I Am Pregnant by You!

From Noel Gallagher's 'Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere' tour diary.

Yes comrades . . . so, Sao Paolo.
Had a press conference early doors. Bit awkward to start with. It livened up though. It actually ended with my interpreter and a journalist just having a chat down their respective mic's!!

The show was fucking mega. What a spectacle. The crowd (or some of them at least) were waving yellow and green balloons as we took to the stage. Looked mega. Great atmosphere. Too much atmosphere as a matter of fact. Not sure if anyone was actually listening . . . they was sure feeling it though. Could barely hear myself sing. I don't mind telling you I lost it in a couple of places. Think it was being broadcast live on the Internet and all!!

Lots of very amusing banners, signs, placards etc . . . here's but a few examples:

NOEL..WILL YOU MARRY ME? (this kind of thing has now become standard)

WE LOVE SARA!! (aww..so do I and she'd have been most pleased by that one)

FIRE TIM SMITH AND HIRE ME!! (very funny . . . if you're not Tim Smith . . . whoever that is?)

     And my personal favourite . . . and this is not a joke . . .

NOEL..I AM PREGNANT BY YOU!!!!! (???????and it was held up by a boy!! Reminds me of a similar sign my wife held up over breakfast a couple of years ago!!) Strange cat's these Brazilians . . .

     anyway onto Rio!!
See you there or maybe not.

Noel Gallagher this album is fast becoming my "Thriller"!!

From Noel Gallagher's 'Tales From The Middle Of Nowhere' tour diary.

That day was a fucking nightmare. Iree Nancy and our 2 princes had arrived in Los Angeles for a little holiday so I decided to fly to Vegas on the day of the gig. Not something one would ordinarily do as it can be fraught with danger.

So . . . got to the airport on time, checked in and all that, sat around for 2 bastard hours until some cunt announced that the flight had been cancelled!! Not to worry though thought I, we still have plenty of time. We'll just get the next one . . . can't we?? Nah . . . the next one was fully booked leaving me stranded!! Had to negotiate trying to get my bags OFF the airplane that had been cancelled only to be told that they'd already been booked on to the flight after that!!! So . . . had to leave my bags at LAX and hire a car to drive me 6 BASTARD HOURS through the desert to try and make the gig! The scenery was incredible and I did get to stop at a Burger King (I ain't been in one of those joints for YEARS!) which was nice . . . on't tell the wife though! Was supposed to be onstage at 9pm. Didn't arrive until 9:35. Walked straight in and onstage at 9:40!! Felt like Elvis . . . that may have been the burger though?!?!

Great gig. Lot's of Brits, so it was a good laugh. There was a few roly-poly's in from Yorkshire. I know that because they kept chanting "YORKSHIRE,YORKSHIRE.." at every available opportunity. I bet their ex-wives would've been most proud!!!

Up early the next morning to drive 6 hours the other way back to the Coachella Festival again. They have it on twice now see? By the time we got there it was 114 degrees!!!!!! ONE HUNDRED AND FOURTEEN DEGREES!!!!!!! Holy fucking shit balls? The gig went pretty much the same as the previous weekend. The night itself followed pretty much the same pattern. Not as chaotic but right up there all the same.

Drove back to LA the next day not feeling great. Spent the day discussing what we could remember about the night before which in my case was virtually nothing. Good job Nancy had her shit together or it could well have been consigned to the dustbin.

The next day I had a video shoot for my new single. That'll be the 5th off this album which is unprecedented in all my time making records. This album is fast becoming my "Thriller"!! I played the part of a slightly hungover grumpy northern taxi driver which is just as well as that's exactly what I felt like. I feel it's some of my best work and most definitely worthy of at least one Bafta. That actress Mischa Barton was in it too. Nice girl. City fan would you believe!?!?

You currently find me in Sao Paolo in the great nation of Brazil. Been on holiday the last week. In a place called Laguna beach. Paradise. Home of the most over-rated band in all of music . . . "The Beach Boys". Nice gaff though.

     ONWARDS. GD.
