Noel Gallagher wants to produce the Libertines new album

Noel Gallagher has told Q Magazine he would definitely be interested in producing the Libertines new album.
He said "I'll definitely be interested in the Libertines LP. If I had time I'd love to produce that record. I love those two (Carl Barrat & Pete Doherty). I hope the record is as interesting as the journey making it, because, if they actually do make it, that'll be amazing in itself. And I'm sure, if it's all old tunes that they've binned off... I know people go, 'Oh, f**king hell', but. having binned off loads of old tunes myself and still discovered odd bits here and there, there's bound to be some good stuff there".

Noel Gallagher says Liam should do a solo album

Noel Gallagher has told Q Magazine he is "very f**king sad about Beady Eye, because I know they really wanted to make it work. I wanted it to work for them. Listen I was out with Gem the other night. The vibe I'm getting is that it was a shock, although not completely surprising. I'm amazed Liam has chucked it in. But he won't stay out of the limelight for long. I think Liam should make a solo record - put his balls on the line, and put his name in lights, and go for it".

Noel Gallagher says he has 30 songs left over from previous records

Noel Gallagher has revealed that he has 30 unreleased songs left over from his days in Oasis as well as from his time recording the High Flying Birds record.
In an interview with BBC Radio 4's John Wilson, as part of the Mastertapes series, the former Oasis guitarist said he's acquired a collection of songs from the past two decades that have never been released.

"I've had a stockpile of songs since 1993," Gallagher said. "I've never written for a specific project, I've never been in the studio with less than 30 songs. I've just recorded an album, but I've still got another 30 songs. Instead of writing 15 or 16 songs for a cycle of where [Oasis] were at, we were using five, but I was still writing 15, 20 songs, so there's loads of stuff left over from those days. Albums and albums worth of material.

"Because you move so fast as a writer, and you can only really do ten songs on an album at a time, lots get left behind."

The singer went on to divulge that writing Oasis single 'Live Forever' was a "Eureka moment" for the band. "That song changed everything for Oasis," he said. "For the two years before that, we were one kind of band, and I was writing one particular kind of song. I guess the term was coined 'baggy', I suppose, and I wrote that one night, and took it to the rehearsal room the next day. The look on Liam’s face when I sang that falsetto bit is something I’ll never forget."

Robbie Williams takes swipe at Gallagher brothers

Their friendship and subsequent falling out is the stuff of showbiz legend, but Robbie Williams has proved that his revenge on Oasis is a dish best-served cold.
The former Take That star took to Twitter after Gary Barlow jokingly said they were "like Blur versus Oasis" because they were releasing records on the same day.

Not only did the Robster depreciate himself in his reply, but he took a cheeky swipe at Noel Gallagher and Liam Gallagher in the process.

He wrote: "Gaz - it’s more like Oasis vs Beady Eye, except at the end of this week WE'LL all still have a career! RW x"

At least we assume he meant that he was Beady Eye, if not maybe Barlow should feel miffed too.

Robbie unveiled a new track called Bully this week.
